A Very Happy, Ex Para

Mr. Alf Bott has been a recent client of SSAFA Shropshire. An ex-Para veteran of World War II, 85-year-old Mr. Bott is disabled himself with osteo-arthritis and other orthopaedic problems, and he is the registered carer for his disabled wife.

He contacted SSAFA Shropshire and we were able to help him by raising over £1,100 to buy him a badly needed new powered riser-recliner chair.

SSAFA contacted the Airborne Forces Security Fund (Mr. Bott's old regimental association) and the Royal British Legion, and, with SSAFA Shropshire's help, these two military charities provided the funding for his new chair.
