Shifnal Farmers Market
(Facebook)
The town of Shifnal in Shropshire was granted its Market and Fair Charter in 1245 and is situated about 2 miles off the M54 motorway and about 3 miles from Telford and has a connecting rail link with Shrewsbury and Wolverhampton and is administered from Bridgenorth.
Recently the Parish Council decided to resurrect the local Shifnal Farmers Market and the first one was held on Saturday 3rd of July 2010 and was very successful, and future dates have been set for September 18th 2010 and November 27th 2010. So if you want to be part of the action you will need to book early to get your pitch.
Trade was very brisk and some stall holders had sold all their produce by 11 am, except one stall that was still churning milk at 2 pm to make hand made butter to satisfy waiting customers.
